I started ObscuraNet because navigating the dark web shouldn't feel like stumbling through a minefield. You want reliable information, not rumours or outdated links that lead nowhere. This site exists to help you explore hidden corners of the web safely—whether you're researching, investigating, or simply curious about what lies beyond the surface internet.

What you'll find here

ObscuraNet covers the tools, directories, and communities that make up the dark web ecosystem. I've organised everything into sections that answer real questions: which search engines actually work, where to find vetted onion links, and how to connect with forums without compromising your security. You'll also find practical guides on marketplaces, directories, and essential tools—no fluff, just what you need to get started or go deeper.

Every article addresses a specific problem. Looking for working onion URLs? Check. Need to understand how Tor search engines differ from clearnet ones? Covered. Want to know which tools belong in your privacy toolkit? Done.

How I work

I test links before publishing them, cross-reference sources, and update articles when services change or disappear. The dark web shifts constantly—sites vanish, new ones emerge, scams multiply. I track these changes so you don't waste time on dead ends or dangerous traps.

I don't invent facts or recommend services I haven't vetted. When something's risky, I'll tell you. When a tool has limitations, you'll know upfront. My goal isn't to sensationalise the dark web but to demystify it with honest, practical information.

If you're new to Tor or already familiar with .onion addresses, you'll find something useful here. Start with the basics or dive into specialised topics—either way, you're in control of what you explore.
